Stagg 26C Bourbon Review: Still Worth the Hunt in 2026?
Nov 5, 2026
I finally found Stagg Bourbon Batch 26C at my local grocery store. But is this 124.6-proof Buffalo Trace bourbon worth picking up when you find it?
In this week’s Byte-Sized Review, I get Wild Cherry Pepsi and white chocolate on the nose, followed by oak, dark chocolate, and espresso on the finish. I share what I enjoyed, what keeps it from being one of my favorite Stagg batches, and whether I’d buy another.
Prices vary quite a bit depending on where you shop, so I also talk through how much that changes my recommendation.
Also in this episode:
• Heaven Hill Phoenix combines 18-year-old bourbon with 30-year-old pre-fire whiskey to commemorate the 1996 distillery fire.
• Blade and Bow’s 30-Year Cask Strength comes in at 164.2 proof with a price tag to match.
• Jack Daniel’s announces its 10-year-old Coy Hill Single Barrel Rye.
• Chattanooga’s Bad Chattanoogan finishes whiskey with playable maple-wood records.
• 1792 Wheated Full Proof has a bottle-size detail worth checking before you order.
Plus, a gaming catch-up on Cyberpunk 2077’s Edgerunners 2 update, November’s PlayStation Plus games, GTA VI, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Have you tried Stagg 26C? Let me know what you thought, what Stagg costs in your area, and whether you’d like more reviews of individual batches.
