Are These RARE Heaven Hill Bourbons Worth the Hype? | LIVE Tasting & Ranking
Oct 9, 2026
Tonight I’m tasting Elijah Craig 21, Heaven Hill Heritage Collection 22, William Heavenhill 19, and Master Distillers Unity side by side.
You guys know I’m a huge Heaven Hill fan, so I’m pretty excited about this lineup. But being hard to find doesn’t automatically make something great. Do these actually live up to the hype? And with the older pours, how much oak is too much?
We’ll taste through all four, compare them, and rank our favorites. Let me know which one you think will come out on top!
THE LINEUP:
• Elijah Craig 21 Year Single Barrel, 2026 release: 94 proof
• Heaven Hill Master Distillers Unity: 107 proof
• William Heavenhill 19 Year Barrel Proof, 12th Edition: 138.2 proof
• Heaven Hill Heritage Collection 22 Year, 2026 release: 129.2 proof
Unity also has a pretty special story. Its 27-barrel blend combines 6-, 8-, and 14-year bourbon with a 34-year barrel distilled by Parker Beam in 1991. That’s the last remaining barrel from the original Heaven Hill Springs Distillery before the 1996 fire.
